In a randomized 10-weeks intervention study with pre-post-follow-up-design, 107 adolescents (26 healthy older adults with subjective memory complaints, 47 healthy older adults and 34 healthy younger adults without subjective memory complaints) were assigned into 2 groups: visual art production or cognitive art evaluation, where the participants either produced or evaluated art. Oneway ANOVAs with repeated measures were computed to observe effects regarding the Resilience-Scale, Symbol-Digit-Test, and Big-Five-Inventory. We found significant effects regarding time and time * art-intervention in terms of resilience and effects of time and time * sample in terms of cognition. Additionally, there was found a time effect of neuroticism and openness to experience and a time * art-intervention * sample effect of conscientiousness. Further investigation is necessary to receive additional validity regarding the usefulness of art intervention.
